Projects on IIRN: Each project on IIRN is a distinct endeavor with a clear objective, such as creating an album, book, technology, or green energy solution.
Funding Goal: This is the total amount needed by a creator to successfully complete their project.

Funding Mechanics

Flexible Funding Model: On IIRN, we operate a flexible funding model. Backers' pledges are charged irrespective of whether the project achieves its funding target. This ensures creators receive some funding, helping them make progress even if they fall short of their original budget.

Roles Defined

Creators: Individuals or teams behind the project idea, actively working to realize it.
Backers: Supporters who pledge funds to help bring these projects to life.
Rewards: Special incentives offered by creators to backers. These can include unique experiences, early versions of the product, or special pricing for early supporters.

Common Account Queries

Changing Email Address: To update your email, log into your account, visit the Account page, and change your email. Verify the change with your current password and confirm. A new email address must be verified for security reasons.
Merging Accounts: Currently, we don’t support merging multiple accounts as each is linked to a unique email.

Backing a Project: How It Works

Checking Your Pledge: A confirmation page and email indicate successful pledging. If you encounter an error or don’t receive confirmation, re-attempt your pledge.
How to Pledge: Log in to your IIRN account (or create one), select a project, choose a reward or pledge without a reward, and provide shipping details if needed. Add-ons can be selected before finalizing your pledge. Payment is processed through a single card.
Charging your Card: Cards are automatically charged for the pledged amount.
Cancelling Pledges: Once made, pledges cannot be cancelled.

Awaiting Your Reward

Delivery Estimates: These are targets, not guarantees. Check the estimated delivery date and follow project updates for the latest status.
Communication with Creators: If there’s no recent update, contact the creator directly for information on your reward.

For Creators: Starting a Project

Getting Started: Anyone meeting our creator criteria can start a project. Utilize our Tools & Resources for guidance and adhere to Our Rules. Begin shaping your project on our start page.

Setting Up Rewards

Deciding Rewards: Select rewards that appeal to your community. Use the Rewards Tab for setting up different tiers and add-ons. Be realistic about delivery dates and shipping.
Pledging Without a Reward: Backers can support a project without selecting a specific reward. The default amount varies by project location but can be adjusted by the backer.

Managing Add-ons

Setting Up Add-Ons: In your project editor, add details for additional rewards in the 'Add-ons' section. Remember, backers must select a main reward before choosing add-ons.
